Here’s a brief summary of Barb’s answers.
Who do you serve, who are your clients? 0:55
Together with my partner, Dennis Becker, we folks who are thinking, “Wow, you can support your family online” — general Internet Marketing, and boomers.
What is their problem, their need, and what are the symptoms of that problem? 0:32
A lot of it is “analysis paralysis.” And if they’re coming from retail or corporate, it can be challenging to finding the mindset and discipline to make it happen.
What are the common mistakes that they make or the obstacles they face? 2:24
Giving themselves permission to believe in themselves. For people to turn the key in their minds and say, “I’m going to make this happen!” The first product might not work, but if you put up a Buy button, you’re ahead of 90% of everyone else.
They might give up or worse, they think that the whole thing is a scam.
What is one high-impact free action that you recommend that the audience can implement that will help them solve that problem? 5:44
Plus 1. What is that? Let’s say you’re feeling self-conscious about putting out a product. You’re thinking, “How can I claim expertise?” So the way you get around that is, say, starting to write a free blog, putting your thoughts out there and giving yourself permission to write one sentence and the world does not explode. “Maybe I can write a second sentence.” That’s what I call “Plus 1.”
And, I cannot emphasize this enough, don’t put YOUR thoughts into somebody else’s head. You might be thinking, “Maybe they’ll think I’m not good enough.” That’s putting YOUR thoughts into their mind when in reality, they’re cheering you on.
What is one valuable free resource that you can direct people to that will further help with that problem? 10:18
Barb suggests that you go to ellenhelps.me/viralpdfs for a free report that explains how to create PDFs that others will share, to virally grow your list of subscribers.
What’s the one question that I should have asked you that would give great value to our audience? 10:28
Especially with the pandemic, more and more people are moving towards supporting themselves online. So this is an especially good time to try and get yourself established online.
